B-Line at Cambridge Folk Festival
The oldest Festival in B-Line’s season, Cambridge Folk Festival has been taking place since 1965 and is a highlight of the UK’s Folk Calendar.
B-Line established a range of bars, from intimate back stage areas, to arena style bars which offered quick service and a wide range of ale for the Festival goers. In total, B- Line produced 7 bars each with its own specific brief for the 10,000 strong crowd.
The Festival’s main bar is housed within a large tent, with the priority on high turn-over whilst offering a broad range of ales. Working with the brilliant Otter Brewery, we were able to offer 4 Main ales as well as a range of guest ales throughout the weekend (including local breweries from less than 2 miles from the Festival site).
In contrast, the Festival’s Guinness Tent is viewed very much as a traditional pub. B-Line were keen to develop this idea, and worked closely with our suppliers to develop intimate handmade wooden snugs within the tent, and introduce custom-made seating and tables which gave the impression of a time-honoured Irish Bar. This created the perfect accompaniment to the spontaneous performances which took place within this venue.
B-Line Bars also developed and produced The Gin Bar activation on behalf of Bombay Sapphire, an example of how B-Line Festival Bars can help aline the right sponsors for your event.
And not forgetting the festival’s Backstage Bar, Campsite Bar and Off-Sales facility that we provided at Cambridge.
